The aim of this article is to analyse the status quo of the French unemployment benefits systems, the fundamental problems, challenges and constitutional jurisprudence. Problems of the French unemployment benefits systems are related to the ageing society, social insurance budget deficit and incitation to work longer for older generation. Therefore, an European Union recommendations and indications for the future reforms should be evaluated and implemented. The scientific literature analysis, legal acts analysis, document analysis, historical methods were used. The outcomes of this article may be used as methodical literature studying the unemployment benefits system and reforms in France.Article特集:EU経済と法departmental bulletin pape
