Boundary Spanning Strategy: Case of Hong Kong Firms

Hong Kong firms, named as Hong Kong-owned firms in the China mainland, inthe Pearl River Delta contributed to economic development much during the pastmany years. With the global economic structure changing in the recent years,plenty of Hong Kong-owned firms in the China mainland are increasingly facingthe new challenges. This chapter is to explore the boundary spanning for thetransformation strategies, which can be used by the Hong Kong-owned firmsconfronting with the transformation challenges. Geographic boundary spanningdriven transformation strategy, organizational boundary spanning driven transformationstrategy, and technological boundary spanning driven transformationstrategy will be discussed in this chapter.
