A bsfractOptimal Energy Systems is currently designing andmanufacturing flywheel-based energy storage systemsthat are being used to provide pulses of energy forcharging high-voltage capacitors in a mobile militarysystem. These systems receive their energy from lowvoltagevehicIe bus power (28 VDC) and provide outputpower at over 10,000 VDC without the need for DC-DCvoltage conversion electronics.
