Abstract: Azolla pinnata as organic manure is one of soil ameliorants to improve soil chemical properties. The study was aimed to examine the effect of Azolla pinnata in form of green manure and compost application on soil chemical properties, growth and yield of rice. The study was conducted in Sepakat Village, Aceh Tengah. The randomized block design was used in this experiment consisted of two factors: the first factor was Azolla in green manure form (0, 15, 30 and 45 ton ha-1), and the second factor was Azolla in compost form (0, 15, and 30 ton ha-1) with three replications.
