An algorithm is presented for demonstrating a technique for developing time-efficient and cost-effective hardware (stand-alone, multiprocessing) for real-time signal processing applications. The mathematical modeling of this algorithm incorporates a digital signal microprocessor (DSM) and a general-purpose microprocessor. Based on this modeling, a simulation program is developed, using Fortran. Simulated results are used to build a multiprocessor system and test its implementation in conjunction with a two-pass cross-assembler written for the DSM, within a host environment
