This paper deals with the modelling and simulation of hybrid step motor system using full step, half step and microstep controllers. The dynamic model of the hybrid step motor system under open loop control with full step and half step excitation is described. The closed loop current controller is employed to model the microstep excitation. The simulation of controllers using the model equations is carried out and a comparison of the performance of a step motor using different controllers have been made
