Water soluble fullerene was prepared by complexing C60 with γ-cyclodextrin. The stoichiometry of the complex [2:1, γ-CD: C60] was determined by thermo gravimetric analysis. The complex was characterized by 1H NMR, FTIR, SEM, circular dichroism and fluorescenc techniques
