This paper presents theoretically computed reflectance spectra of a chemically converted textured black copper selective surface. The computation has been carried out using a simple structural model which is based on the experimental evidences. The desired effective dielectric permittivity of this multiphase composite film has been achieved using the effective medium concept. The computed effective dielectric permittivity obtained along with the multilayer configuration using a matrix approach shows satisfactory agreement between the theoretically computed and the experimentally obtained reflectance spectra
