Abstract

Trifluoromethylated tertiary allylic alcohols, obtained from trifluoromethylation of several conjugated enones, undergo oxidative rearrangements to 3-trifluoromethyl-2-cycloalkenones with pyridinium chlorochromate in the presence of a small amount of concentrated H<SUB>2</SUB>SO<SUB>4</SUB>
