The low temperature specific heat anomaly in water-doped K-Ca nitrate glass has been found to scale with the reciprocal glass transition temperature. Similarly, the anomaly in Na<SUB>2</SUB>O-containing and in neutron-irradiated silica scales with the reciprocal fictive temperature. These observations lead to the suggestion that the frozen-in disorder is connected with the low temperature anomaly characteristic of the glassy state
