The dielectric properties of the eutectic LiNbO3:3Li2O.Nb2O5 have been studied in the frequency range 50 KHz to 50 MHz from room temperature to 890° K. The results suggest that the presence of the second phase, i.e., 3Li2O.Nb2O5 in appreciable amounts in the samples of some investigators was responsible for the disparity between the reported results on the dielectric properties of LiNbO3 in the literature
