The problem of obtaining perturbative solutions to the nonlinear differential equations which describe the motion of the x6 and quartically coupled oscillators is treated by the use of the well-known coherent state representation. The results exhibit the basic qualitative features of nonlinearities and the characteristics of a coupled system in the weak coupling limit
