This paper purposely explains the correlation between science and civilization in the perspective Ibn Khaldun. The major source the writer refers in this paper is "Muqadimah Ibn Khaldun" a monumental work of Ibn Khaldun. According to Ibn Khaldun, the main factor underlying the building of a civilization is science. Science and teaching is the basic human nature. Teaching and learning process comes from the desire and curiosity of human as their natural essence. This process finally demands society to manage their livelihood to create a better civilization.
