The aim is to assess the realization of SPR based-sensors with direct electronic transduction of plasmon-induced phenomena for low-cost, low-power and with high sensing performances for the measurement of either chemical or biological quantities. The developed SPR sensors have the objective to produce an electrical signal, based on hot electrons that are discriminated by a Schottky junction. To that end, the device will be illuminated by a light source whose wavelength matches the specific plasmonic resonance wavelength of the SPR based sensor. Thus, a precise simulation and characterization has to be done beforehand
