This report summarizes the results obtained during a four month-long internship at the Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at MIT. The work presented here is a result of the joint effort of Victor Prost and myself. During these four months we had the opportunity of working on diverse topics, from developing a high-precision experiment to creating stunning videos of bouncing drops with a high-speed video camera. This variety has allowed us to get a wide perspective on the daily life of a researcher. We present here the main scientific results that we obtained in this period.
