Gaia is an ESA mission to create a 3D map of our Galaxy. The main objective is to provide positional measurements for about one billion stars. Gaia will scan the same sky region about 85 times in different directions. This will produce multiple observations of the same star in slightly different positions creating clusters of observations. The project proposed here consists in designing and implementing a suitable statistical analysis of the star clusters. The statistics will be used to identify and select singular cases from huge sets of data. The algorithms and code developed must be designed to be scalable and distributable in order run on large clusters and supercomputing environments.Gaia es una misión de la ESA para crear un mapa en 3...
