Nowadays, Wireless Sensor Networks are employed in many different fields. This project presents the implementation of this type of network on trains, with the purpose of monitoring the equipments condition at any time while trains are in motion. The Wireless Sensor Network is in charge of measuring and transmitting temperature and vibration parameters. The Gateway is the device that processes and transfers the gathered data to a remote server connected to Internet providing realtime measurements.
