During the last decades, in traditional agriculture the control of nematodes has been based on the use of chemical nematicides. These products have a strong impact on the soil and the environment. Other alternatives based on natural products have been sought. In this way, two tests were carried out in order to determine i) the effect of 1:10 and 1:50 solutions of oxalic acid (OA) (10 mg oxalic acid / ml water) on the infective and reproductive capability of Meloidogyne incognita on tomato cv. Durinta in controlled conditions, and ii) the effect of aqueous extract of horsetail or stinging nettle on population growth of Meloidogyne incognita on cucumber cv.
