[ANGLÈS] This project belongs to the field of medical imaging and was motivated by the idea of elaborating a first approximation to automatic medical diagnosis. The principal objective of this study is, given an X-ray chest image, to predict how long a doctor would be looking to specific different parts of the image. This prediction provides an estimation of which of these parts are more relevant for a doctor during diagnosis, and might be correlated with the probability of having an abnormality. Predictions are obtained by training a model with a machine learning algorithm called Relevant Vector Machine (RVM).
