At TU Delft, a BMW is available for research purposes. The original commercial Anti-lock Brake System has been disconnected from the vehicle so as to look into different ABS control strategies. In order to study ABS control, this assignment deals with the development of a Simulink© model for the brake vehicle dynamics. Moreover, the control logic of an ABS system is studied, specifically the 5-phase hybrid control approach, partially developed at TU Delft. One of the major problems with the 5-phase algorithm is finding an appropriate set of parameters. Therefore, simulations are carried out to get familiar with the tuning of the algorithm and its behaviour. Furthermore, the actuation of the hydraulic-unit valves is discussed. Last but not l...
