This final degree project is divided in two differentiated blocks. In the first one, an analysis of the actual landing systems is made, explaining how they work, their requirements and the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Those systems can be classified into two different groups; on one side the systems that we will call as "classic systems", which are the Instrument Landing System (ILS) and the Microwave Landing System. On the other side, the new approach systems which use global navigation satellite systems, with the support of augmentation systems in order to ensure the definite levels of precision and integrity.
