A simulation of Biogas Digestion process has been carried out through Aspen Plus. The anaerobic metabolism, its inhibitions and its parameters have been studied. Then a model of digestion has been performed using the information found in IWA Anaerobic Digestion Model No. 1 and Angelidaki et al. 1998 model of anaerobic digestion where Acidogenic, Acetogenic and Methanogenic step has been implemented following the reactions shown in both models, also amino-acid degradation reactions have been implemented. Ammonia, hydrogen, long-chain fatty acids, pH, etc inhibitions and temperature dependence have been implemented through Fortran statements in Aspen Plus calculation Blocks.Outgoin
