The analysis of the homogeneous parabolic waveguides has been analyzed previously by other authors analytically. In this paper, the Finite Element Method has been applied to solve that problem. The comparison between those two methods shows very high agreement. Moreover, the formulation of the inhomogeneous waveguide problem has been formulated in terms of the transverse magnetic field.Peer Reviewe
