Although several decades various agencies and prestigious authors have made recommendations on the teaching of statistics and probability in the classroom, research on teacher knowledge continue to point out that these skills are deficient. In light of these data, we show the existence of a real communication problem between the literature on the teaching of statistics and probability and classroom practice.
