PERBEDAAN HASIL UJI BAKTERI Escherichia Coli PADA AIR MINUM ISI ULANG DENGAN AIR PDAM DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS TAWAELI KOTA PALU

ABSTRACT Background. Water is the essential need of human which always have to be available in a daily life, in case to be consumpted, for washing, or for bathing. The main problem that has to deal with in water management is water contamination that keep going high. Water contamination can be originated from waste water of household or industrial waste, so that the new efforts are keep on going to find source of water, particularly to fulfill drinking water that fulfill the established requirements. Method. This research is a research with analitic observational study. Sample collecting was conducted with total sampling method. To determine the quality of water, examination was carried out in Health Department Laboratory in Palu City with Most Probable Number (MPN) method. Result. The research result showed six from six samples of refill drinking water were not contaminated by E. coli bacteria and two of two PDAM samples were contaminated by E. coli bacteria. Moreover, statistical tes with Mann-Whitney was counducted and showed that there was a difference of those two kinds of water. Conclussion. The conclussion is there is a result difference of Escherichia coli bacterial test on refill drinking water and PDAM water in working area of PUSKEMAS Tawaeli Palu city. Keywords.
