HUBUNGAN KADAR ASAM URAT DALAM DARAH TERHADAP KEJADIAN UROLITHIASIS DI RSUD UNDATA PALU TAHUN 2014-2016

ABSTRACT Background: Uric acid is a result of purine metabolism, increased intake of purines will lead to accumulation of urate crystal. Hyperuricemia is a condition of high uric acid levels in blood. Some of research showed hyperuricemia may become risk factor for the formation of urolith. Approximately 5-10% of stones are formed from uric acid. Urinary stone disease, also known as urolithiasis, is the third most common urological disease after benign prostatic hyperplasia and urinary tract infection. Urolithiasis is one of the major diseases of the urinary system and is a major source of morbidity. It has been reported that the prevalence of urolithiasis was 1-12% in the world, and 1-5% in Asia. Objective: to determine the correlation between uric acid level in blood and urolithiasis at Undata Hospital Palu 2014-2016. Methods: The type of this research was an analytical observational research with cross sectional approach. Sampling was done in non probability, i.e. purposive sampling consist of 38 patients with urolithiasis and 14 patients of non urolithiasis, which were tested for blood uric acids level. Data analysis was performed using univariate, and bivariate analysis by chi-square test (α = 0.05) Results: Based on the 52 samples studied, the data was analyzed using chi-square test with Yates correction, and gave result of probability value (p-value) equals to 0.037 for the correlation between uric acid level in blood and incident of urolithiasis at Undata Hospital Palu in year of 2014 to 2016. Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between uric acid level in blood and the incident of urolithiasis at Undata Hospital Palu year 2014-2016, According to this study, the increased level of uric acid in blood potentially increase the incident of urolithiasis Keywords: uric acid, hiperuricemia, urolithiasis. xv ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Asam urat adalah hasil metabolisme purin, peningkatan asupan purin akan menyebabkan akumulasi kristal urat. Hiperurisemia adalah kondisi kadar asam urat yang tinggi dalam darah. Beberapa penelitian menunjukkan hiperurisemia dapat menjadi faktor risiko untuk pembentukan urolithiasis. Sekitar 5-10% dari batu yang terbentuk berasal dari asam urat. Penyakit batu saluran kemih juga dikenal sebagai urolithiasis adalah penyakit ketiga di bidang urologis yang paling umum ketiga disamping benign prostat hiperplasia dan infeksi saluran kemih. Urolithiasis adalah salah satu penyakit utama dari bidang urologi yang merupakan sumber utama morbiditas. Telah dilaporkan bahwa prevalensi urolitiasis adalah 1-12% di dunia, dan 1-5% di Asia. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kadar asam urat dalam darah terhadap kejadian urolithiasis di RSUD Undata Palu tahun 2014-2016. Metode: Pada penelitian ini, jenis penelitian yang di pakai adalah penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan non probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 38 pasien dengan urolithiasis dan 14 pasien non urolithiasis yang melakukan pemeriksaan kadar asam urat dalam darah. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan univariat, bivariat dengan uji chi-square (α = 0,05) Hasil: Berdasarkan 52 sampel data yang telah di teliti, kemudian data di analisis menggunakan uji Chi Square Yates Correction dan di dapatkan nilai p 0.037 untuk hubungan kadar asam urat dalam darah terhadap kejadian urolithiasis di RSUD Undata Palu 2014-2016. Kesimpulan: Adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara kadar asam urat dalam darah terhadap kejadian urolithiasis di RSUD Undata Palu 2014-2016, pada penelitian ini meningkatnya kadar asam urat dalam darah berpotensi meningkatkan kejadian urolithiasis.
