Abstract. The objective of the present study was to evaluate length-weight relationship and condition factor of snakehead (Channa striata) reared in different swamp pond in Sekayu and Mariana swamps of Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The study was conducted from May to November 2013. The result shows that there were no significant difference in the slope (b) between length-weight relationship of fish reared in Sekayu and Mariana swamp ponds, the fish was displayed a negative allometric growth pattern. Fish reared in Mariana swamp had condition factor 0.884 slightly higher than that in Sekayu swamp 0.839, it can be indicated that swamp environment in Mariana slightly better to support snakehead life.
