Many studies around the world in the field of scientometrics and research trends analysis are carried out using bibliometric techniques to analyze a specific research area or a special journal. The purpose of this bibliometric study was to investigate the research trends of the journal of Sport Management Review based on the Web of Science (WoS) citation database in the period 2011-2018. The findings of this bibliometric study can be useful for sport researchers and the editorial board of the above-mentioned journal.
