As a target for discussions in several areas of knowledge, the Big Data has attracted relevant interest in academia. In this sense, the information science is a area favorable for arguments on the subject in their various disciplines and, in particular, in the knowledge Organization. So worth the following question: how the Big Data relates to the knowledge Organization? Under such bias, the present study sought to answer the question above via bibliographical research conducted in the well-known Information Knowledge Journal. As a methodological north, exploratory and content analysis were used. It is possible to verify that in the bibliography analyzed on the subject, there was no way to clearly define relational trends; However, the importance and the concern with the discussion and the implications of the relationship between Big Data and the Knowledge Organization becomes evident. Thus, it is concluded by the necessity of material production and studies that analyze and develop such relational factors
