In universities the support of publication management gets increasing relevance. The different interests are complex. Authors need comfortable working environments, the presiding committees of the universities need more information about research and libraries provide infrastructure with repositories. New trends in library will depend large-scale changes in technology and organization. To merge the different interests in a modern environment, a project named PUMA was foundet at the university of Kassel based on the needs of authors. Within PUMA authors will find in addition to a social bookmarking und online bibliographic system automatic metadata flow into research information systems, repositories und e-learning-systems
