The advance of new technologies applied to the organization of information, represents a challenge for academic institutions of Library and Information Science. The standards and tools used in the field of librarianship are being updated continuously, which forces teachers to shift from traditional paradigms. Academic institutions need to offer the students the required tools that will allow them address the new scenario in information technologies
