Využití wiki systémů ve vědě a vědecké komunikaci

The paper is devoted to issues of usage of wiki systems in science and scientific communication, focusing on issues of quality of information in wiki systems, which implied the possibility of usage of wiki systems in the field of library and information science. The introductory section deals with the introduction to changes in scientific communication at the turn of the 20th and 21st century, the definition of the term wiki and the most important features of wiki systems, too. The following section is devoted to issues of information and knowledge quality management and control in wiki systems. On example and model of quality management tools in a particular wiki system – the free encyclopedia Wikipedia - is briefly introduced one of the most effective ways of dealing with issues of quality and reliability of information and knowledge in wiki systems. In the next section four basic levels of possibilities of usage of wiki systems in science are outlined in general and also with examples of existing implementation. The following part is resulting from the previous and focuses on the options and existing implementations of usage of wiki systems in the field of library and information science. The final section provides a summary of all conclusions derived from previous sections
