An analysis of the presence of indexing on the Internet is presented, supported by the idea that an important part of this network of computers is based or it is impregnated in higher or lower degree by indexing. The indexing pillars are the metadata, the search engines, the users and the web positioning. Each one of these four elements is reviewed to prove the above approach, the one that we name the Indexing Web universe
