The web is the internet's most important phenomenon, as demonstrated by its exponential growth and diversity. Hence, due to the volume and wealth of its data, search engines have become among the web's main tools. They are useful when we know what we are looking for. However, certainly the web holds answers to questions never imagined. The process of finding relations or interesting patterns within a data set is called "data mining" and in the case of the web, "web mining".
