This work reviews the objectives of the public libraries to the light of the constant transformations in the scene of the technologies of information in Internet. It explores the areas of application that these technologies have in the vestibules of the public libraries and anticipates the generation of virtual spaces of learning and social interaction, around the integration of technological applications in the public libraries
