Bibliotecarios en acción: la AAB y el difícil camino hacia el reconocimiento profesional

Some institutions have rated the professional and working situation of the staff in the Andalusian local libraries as deficient. The activities that the “Asociación Andaluza de Bibliotecarios” (AAB) (Andalusian Librarians Association) is carrying out so as to improve this situation is described in the text. Among these activities the proposal of staff regulations in the libraries presented to the “Consejería de Cultura” (Department of Culture of the Andalusian Government) is being considered.
