La literatura científica alemana al alcance del médico hispanohablante

It is known that many doctors do not have a sufficient dominion of foreign languages and, therefore, they cannot directly read texts coming from other countries. Also, the experience has demonstrated that the rooted habit to review with preference material written in English when it is foreign publications, brings the ignorance of valuable sources of intelligence. In a preceding work, it was to promote the use of the German medical magazines. Later, studies were made to know to what extent the content of German scientific publications dedicated to the medicine was considered excellent, as well as to determine the factors that made difficult their use and to propose routes that allowed their advantage. One of the emanated suggestions of the referred studies, was the one to increase and to perfect the secondary information that it treated about these publications as via presenting his content and to promote his use. On the base of that recommendation, it was determined to create the data base ALEMED, whose utility founds mental is on which it makes possible to accede in Spanish to the information generated by the scientists of the German medicine
