The reason to present this work is to socialize the interesting contribution of the Lic. Lourdes Feria Basurto around very debated subject of the virtual library. From my formation and experience professional, first in sociology and soon in information science added to my learning of computer science in the day to day, I allow myself to transmit this communication to them that seemed to me very didactic and interesting. In the first part Lic. Basurto approaches some basic conceptual elements related to the Automatization of Libraries, later with the services and users finally to arrive at the subject of virtual or digital library
