The most important services of the Digital Library were defined and "ERCIM Technical Reference Digital Library (ETRDL)" was discussed (it's a distributed collection of grey literature in informatics and applied mathematics fields). Various presentations about Italian and european initiatives followed: the SIBA system by the University of Lecce, allowing to access full-text documents in mathematics; an information retrieval system based on artificial intelligence, being able to automatically suit the user profile; a technical infrastructure for scientific collaboration at european level; new online SBN and another ICCU new service that is called OPAC99.
