Influence of recording beam intensity on diffraction efficiency kinetics of phase holographic gratings hi anthracene containing polymer is investigated. An enhancement of the gratings without an inversion of their phase contrast is explained by interactions of photoinduced defects, leading to captured solvent molecules releasing. The calculating model including this process is in qualitative agreement with experimental data
