Fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR) sensors are a promising type of fiber-optic temperature sensors that are based on measurement of fluorescence intensity ratio from two temperature-coupled energy levels. We study transparent lead-fluoride glass-based nano-glass-ceramics as a sensing element of FIR sensors. Such media combine positive properties of both glass host and doped nanocrystals. On the basis of a theoretical model of a FIR sensor developed the modeling of the sensor is performed taking noises into account. It is planned to perform optimization of dopant ions concentration and secondary heat treatment regimes as well as to determine ultimate accuracy of temperature measurement by FIR sensors
