HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL QUOTIENT (EQ) TERHADAP INDEKS PRESTASI KUMULATIF (IPK) PENJASKES 2011 UNIVERSITAS LAMPUNG

The key to success in modern life more than Intellegence Quotient (IQ), and does not guarantee a person to be successful, but if not balanced with the emotional intelligence (EI / EQ) which can lead to high on things that harm. Because IQ contributes only 20% while the remaining 80% is determined by emotional intelligence This research aims to determine whether there is a relationship between emotional intelligence of the students grade point average PE Lampung University. This study uses data collection techniques and documentation in the form of questionnaires, as well as data analysis techniques of hypothesis testing. PE students research the subject in 2011 amounted to 61 universities Lampung. Based on the calculation of correlation indicates that the values obtained rhitung = 0.252, meaning that the low correlation between emotional intelligence (EQ) of the cumulative grade point (GPA) PE 2011 Lampung University students.Kunci sukses dalam kehidupan modern lebih dari intellegence quotient (IQ), dan bukan jaminan seseorang untuk sukses, tapi bila tidak diimbangi dengan kecerdasan emosional (EI/EQ) yang tinggi bisa mengarah pada hal-hal yang merugikan. Karena IQ kontribusinya hanya 20 % sementara sisanya 80 % ditentukan oleh kecerdasan emosional Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif mahasiswa Penjaskes Universitas Lampung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dan angket, serta teknik analisis data pengujian hipotesis. Subjek penelitiannya mahasiwa penjaskes 2011 universitas Lampung berjumlah 61 orang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan korelasi menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh nilai rhitung = 0,252 , artinya rendahnya hubungan tingkat kecerdasan emosional (EQ) terhadap indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) mahasiswa Penjaskes 2011 Universitas Lampung.Kata kunci : kecerdasan, emosional quotient, indeks prestasi komulatif
