My article's is aimed of analyzing the social construction of identity, using the category of difference, and taking into account the example Muslim Minority in Sweden. I try to understand the variety of social culture paradoxes in which the difference may be the starting point of emancipation or marginalization. I will focus in my text on the socio-cultural aspects of the Muslim minority functioning in Sweden and radical mutual non-translatability of basic assumptions of Muslim and Scandinavian culture. Radical Islamic politics of essentialism and full of contradictions Swedish integration policy brings in its overall consequences both political and religious emancipation of immigrants as well as their socio-cultural marginalization
