Minimum foot clearance during walking: Strategies for the minimisation of trip-related falls

Researchers have documented ageing effects on gait with the aim of identifying variables linked to falls. The elderly seemed to be more prone to tripping with, for example, lower median MFC(minimum foot clearance) values (not significantly lower) and significantly higher MFC variability.
