Victoria University‘s current student cohort is both diverse and disadvantaged, with over 80% either engaged in or looking for part - time work. In this context, student peer mentors — Student Rovers — are employed and deploy ed across three Learning Commons as a strategy for providing just - in - time‘ and just - in - place‘ learning support to other students. The program was established as a potential means for engaging Student Rovers in learning to learn while also learning to work, as well as for fostering and facilitating student engagement in campus life.
