En este trabajo estudiamos los principales modelos matemáticos de neuronas (Hodgkin-Huxley y Hindmarsh-Rose). Después analizamos las bifurcaciones en sistemas dinámicos de EDOS, centrándonos en la bifurcación silla-nodo y en la bifurcación de Andronov-Hopf, realizando un extenso análisis de las formas normales de ambas. Y por último estudiamos el fenómeno bursting en la actividad neuronal, mediante modelos tipo fast-slow como el Hodgkin-Huxley; para ello comentamos el primer teorema de Fenichel y la clasificación topológica de los bursters.<br /
