Resumen El presente trabajo analiza los orígenes y la evolución de la crueldad en la novela Wuthering Heights, escrita por Emily Brontë en 1847. El objetivo del mismo es demostrar la capacidad de Emily Brontë de plasmar mecanismos psicológicos en sus personajes protagonistas que estaban a décadas de ser descritos por críticos literarios. Emily creó una novela sin precedentes en la que el uso de la violencia y de una narrativa compleja dotan a la misma de unas características únicas.
