Gender equality is now more than ever a highly discussed topic within many different aspects of society. Also, being an entrepreneur is becoming increasingly more accessible and popular as a choice of occupation. This study aims to analyze the potential relationship between gender equality in entrepreneurship and the outcome on economic growth. By developing an index which ranks American states’ degrees of gender equality on a 0 to 1 scale (based off of the number of women owned businesses), a regression is used to determine the probable impact on GDP per capita growth.
