In 2014 vegetation was removed from the sand dunes in the south section of Ängelholm beach as a part of the EU-funded project Sand Life, with the objective to improve biodiversity in Swedish sand areas. The aim of this study is to investigate how the removal of beach vegetation has affected the morphology and the evolution of the dunes, from the removal in 2014 until today (2016), including the impacts of the storms Egon, Gorm and Urd. The methods used are remote sensing of orthophotographs together with comparisons of digital elevation models for 2010, 2014 and 2015. The program used for the study was ArcMap 10.4.1. Measurements were also made in field. The results show that the vegetation removal have had a considerable impact on the deve...
