Green roofs are becoming increasingly more popular due to the fact of their many benefits. The aim of this report is to investigate the level of fire safety in extensive green roofs, which includes a variety of sedum, herbs and grass, in urban environments. Research is also done to clarify which parameters are affecting fire spread on extensive green roofs and to which extent. The objective was to present strategies and measures to lower the risk of ignition and flame spread.
